Being Good at Bargaining – What to Do?
Times are changing too fast and almost everything is getting too expensive to afford. Even if you look at the things available at cheaper places like Wall Mart, still those fixed prices make many things hard to purchase. Those are fixed prices and you cannot even negotiate and try to bargain over them. This is why many other markets that have open products or shops are preferred more with time since there are no fixed prices and bargaining can be easily done. Some people are good at bargaining while others are not; this just depends on one’s nature and personality.
Usually females are far better then males in bargaining over stuff since they are more fond of shopping and at the same time saving money as well. Males on the other hand are not that fond of shopping or even if they are; they would not be that good at bargaining. Recently, I went to a market where bag stall was selling used bags that were all imported; a lady walks in, asks the price, it was too high but still; without saying another word she bought it. This does not means that she does not know how to bargain; she was just rich enough. We all are not rich and therefore bargaining really helps in saving money.
Buying stuff from local shops and markets really help in bringing prices down since mostly shopkeepers ask for a higher price with a higher profit at the start. You can always start negotiating but being pleasant and calm. I have seen many shopkeepers get mad because the customers were being too much while bargaining. You cannot purchase something that is 10 dollars actually for 8 dollars. A shopkeeper might resist getting no profit but he would surely resist going through a loss on something. Always be reasonable and flexible to be a good bargainer. When you bargain on something, remember that things will not entirely go your way; you will have to bend down a little as well. You do not need to go too low until and unless that product is really worth that much.
I have seen many males doing some good bargaining at stores; this is because they live outdoor too much and they have an idea regarding product prices. No matter what your gender is; be good at bargaining so you can increase your savings and get more stuff.
